Depth Incremental Beginner Guide

Depth Incremental beginner guide for Roblox: how steps and Cash work, the tutorial upgrade, when fossils and worms open, and what to do in your first hour.

6 min readLast checked Sources

This Depth Incremental beginner guide covers your first hour in the Roblox incremental game by Core Loop: buying steps, earning Cash, the 250 Cash tutorial upgrade, what opens next and the free code to redeem first. Core Loop has not published a full Depth Incremental guide of its own, so this page sticks to the official description, a tutorial write-up and one gameplay video.

Depth Incremental beginner guide: how the game works

You buy steps and walk down into the pit, and every layer hides something new and dangerous. Along the way you upgrade your character, dig up Fossils, hunt rare Shinies, expand many Upgrade Trees, defeat the bosses guarding each layer and rebirth to dive deeper. The game launched on October 8, 2026. It is not Tower Incremental or Zenith, although its description says it was heavily inspired by both.

Buying steps and earning Cash

Steps are the core mechanic, and Cash pays for them. The tutorial, as Try Hard Guides describes it, has you buy a few steps and then spend Cash in the upgrades room. Two rules from the same guide matter early:

  • Step prices rise the deeper you go, so it pays to build up Cash in the upgrades room first.
  • Falling off the stairs puts you back where you fell. No progress is lost, so a fall is harmless.

Core Loop has not published a step price table. In a gameplay video posted on October 31, 2026, the player also finds a teleport button that takes them to the Upgrades area.

Your first upgrade: the 250 Cash tutorial

After a few steps you can afford your first upgrade, Faster Cash, for 250 Cash. Buying it ends the tutorial, and the video shows the first upgrade at the same price. The Cash Upgrades room also lists More Cash and Walk Speed, but no trusted source gives their prices. The video then keeps buying More Cash until fossils open.

What opens next: fossils, worms, the upgrade tree and titles

Only the fossil numbers appear in more than one source. The rest come from the October 31 video, so read them as one player's run and not as official costs.

The Depth Incremental fossils guide covers digging and Fossil Luck, the Depth Incremental worms guide covers collecting and grubs, and the Depth Incremental titles guide covers rolling.

Redeem the free Luck code first

The game has one working code. It gives a permanent x1.2 multiplier to Fossil Luck and Title Luck, so it helps your first digs and every title roll after. Press the Shop button on the left, scroll to the bottom of the Shop window, type the code in and press Redeem. The Depth Incremental codes page keeps the current code.

Roblox Plus members also get +20% Luck, per the official description; whether it stacks with the code is not published. The Depth Incremental gamepasses page lists the seven passes and their prices, though their store text is blank.

Bosses, layers and rebirth: what is known so far

The description says bosses guard each layer and that rebirth lets you grow stronger and dive deeper. In the gameplay video the player reaches a boss room, and an upgrade near it unlocks Grub Conversion for worms.

Core Loop has not published layer names or the layer count, boss names, HP or rewards, or the rebirth requirement and reward. We will add them to this Depth Incremental beginner guide when a source confirms them. Depth Incremental UPD4 went live on October 31, 2026 with the final area of Section 1, which the developer calls the hardest section by far, and Depth Incremental UPD5 is announced for November 7, 2026.

Depth Incremental beginner guide FAQ

How to play Depth Incremental as a beginner?

Buy a few steps to head down, spend 250 Cash on Faster Cash to finish the tutorial, redeem the free Luck code in the Shop window, then keep earning Cash until fossils open at 2,000 Cash.

What are the best Depth Incremental tips for new players?

Redeem the code before your first dig and build Cash in the upgrades room because step prices rise. Treat the video costs for worms, the upgrade tree and title rolls as one player's numbers. Core Loop has not published an ideal upgrade order, so any route you see online is a guess.

Is this Depth Incremental beginner guide complete?

No. Layer names, boss details, step prices and rebirth numbers are not published yet, and the unlock costs above come from one video.

Is Depth Incremental the same as Tower Incremental?

No. It is a separate Roblox game that was inspired by Zenith and Tower Incremental.

Where do I get news and ask questions?

The official Core Loop Studios server is linked on our Depth Incremental Discord page and covers all of the studio's games. Announced dates are on the Depth Incremental updates page.
